Logging On and Logging Off

The Marine Rescue NSW App will help you stay safer on the water.

The free App is quick and simple to use to Log On and Log Off with Marine Rescue NSW.

Logging On with us means that you can get on with your day on the water, knowing a professional emergency service is keeping watch for your safe return.

When you set up the app, note in the profile comments section that you are deaf or hard of hearing so the Marine Rescue operator knows how to contact you.

When you Log On, follow the prompts on the App to tell us where you’re heading, how many people are on board and when you’re planning to return.

If you’re not safely back on shore to Log Off when expected, our volunteers will call you. It’s a good idea to have an alert device, connected to your phone, in case you are called. If you don’t answer and we cannot locate you, we will start to search for you.

Choosing the live safety tracking option means that your location is updated in our vessel tracking system every half an hour.

In an emergency, our crews will know where to start searching for you, saving valuable time when minutes can mean the difference between life and death.

The App also has a range of other features, including the safety checklist, weather conditions and position coordinates.

You can download the Marine Rescue App at the App Store for Apple devices, or Google Play for Androids.
