Wearing a lifejacket
The following transcript can also be downloaded here
A lifejacket is the most important safety item on board your vessel.
An emergency can happen quickly on the water.
A lifejacket can only save your life if you’re wearing it, so make sure everyone on board is wearing it before leaving shore.
Modern lifejackets are slim-line and come in a variety of sizes and styles so they won’t get in your way, whether you’re boating, fishing, sailing, paddling or on a jet ski.
They can be manual or self-inflating, so you should seek professional advice on the best one for your needs.
