MRNSW has an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Manager, Health, Safety and Culture to join their head office in Cronulla.
Reporting to the Deputy Commissioner, Operations, your key responsibility will be to reinforce a strong safety culture and provide effective human resources policies and procedures to members and staff.
Leading the Health, Safety and Culture team, your role brings together human resources and workplace health and safety (WHS) expertise with processes to support a wide range of initiatives that will build a positive culture in MRNSW.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a motivating leader who is committed to partnering with and coaching MRNSW staff and members so that together they can build a safety culture and improve the performance of all MRNSW’s people.
You will need to have five years’ experience in a leadership role in human resources with responsibility for workplace health and safety. You will also need to have a strong understanding of compliance, governance, and legislation. A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field is required for this role.
In addition, you will need to have excellent interpersonal, negotiation, conflict resolution and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to build credibility and influence others. Strong knowledge in the maritime or emergency services sectors is highly desirable.
You will also have to have a focus on problem solving that addresses conflicting viewpoints and finds solutions despite ambiguity. You will contribute to the MRNSW by translating cultural change initiatives into practical strategies and develop a culture that encourages accountability and collaboration.
