Marine Rescue NSW (MRNSW) is an essential emergency service. It protects the NSW community by providing marine search and rescue response, monitoring, responding to maritime radio communications and delivering safety education programs. Our people are our greatest strength! At the heart of our organisation is more than 3,000 active volunteer members, organised into 45 geographic units. We work with other emergency services, particularly the NSW Police Force, and promote boating and water safety through community events, education, and engagement activities.
Manager Grants and Sponsorship contributes to the financial viability of MRNSW by managing the process of seeking, securing and acquitting a wide range of revenue generating initiatives including accountability for achieving revenue targets. They are a creative thinker with proven success in meeting funder requirements, who is able to work comfortably in a fast-paced creative environment, in liaison with a small, dedicated team.
The Manager Grants and Sponsorship has a focus on collaborating with and influencing other teams to maximise synergies, jointly resolve issues and share lessons learned. They contribute to the Communications & Engagement team by sharing connections across multiple teams and units, identifying and pursuing opportunities that maximise revenue generation while simultaneously progressing a range of other organisational goals.
You’ll have at least three years experience in a position with responsibility for grants, fundraising or revenue generation programs, preferably in a community based or volunteer organisation, along with
Knowledge of NSW government grants programs and the funding, philanthropic giving and sponsorship environments relevant to the maritime or emergency services sector is highly desirable.
