Testimonials
THANK YOU SO MUCH to the whole crew, especially Elizabeth, Alan, Cam and Joanne. We hope the enclosed cheque goes some way to continuing your great service.
Thank-you very much for your very quick and generous assistance on Sat 26 August. Most embarrassing for me.
I would like to send a note of appreciation to 'Marine Rescue NSW' for the very prompt and efficient assistance given by your Cottage Point operator in 3 meter swells and 15 knot S winds off Bangally Headland, Avalon when the steering on my 11m yacht failed.
Your team did an exemplary job in every respect, and I was thoroughly impressed with the response times involved and highly professional and skilled manner in which the recoveries of all three of our boats were conducted.
We were stranded up river when our boat broke down in the Shoalhaven area. With 2 children & a baby on board we were concerned as to how long we were going to stuck on the river & how we were going to get back to the ramp. The wonderful men from Marine Rescue came to our aid & we were thankful for their help. Thanks again,
We just wanted to say another huge thank you for helping us last weekend when Charlie fell through the hatch on Sloop John B. Thankfully no lasting damage, just a sore head! You guys all do such a valuable and fantastic job, not sure what we would have done without you. We have made a little donation to the cause. See you again on the water.

I would like to say a massive thank-you to you down there at the rescue base for the assistance you provided me last Sunday afternoon when my steering cable snapped at sea and I was able to be towed in by a Culburra local boat to Greenwell Point then towed again to Hay Ave, Shoalhaven Heads by the guys on the Rescue RHIB. Thanks for always being there for all us boaties when we venture out to sea and if you can pass on my thanks to the guys who came back out to get me ( Dave ) and that I would have done the same for them.
I wish to thank you for your assistance today when my boat developed engine problems off West Head in Broken Bay. You arranged for the Water Police to tow us back to Pretty Beach boat ramp and I even received a follow up phone call later in the day to make sure all was ok. Very much appreciated.
Hi Recently I had the good fortune to be assisted by your wonderful volunteers at Merimbula. It would be remiss of me not to let your organization know how good they were in a hazardous situation which I got myself into. Mr (Bill) Blakeman, (Guy) Illy and (Rob) Bayliss were fantastic - cool, calm and collected as they say. Well done and thank you again. I will be joining Marine Rescue because of this experience!!
I appreciate the service provided by Marine Rescue NSW. As a sailing yachtie I experienced first hand a rescue operation last Saturday. Whilst returning from Hobart and sailing up the coast past Bermagui we came across a boat in trouble, “Man of War”. The Marine Rescue boat “James T Lees” had responded. Our tall sail was seen by both boats and they were able to come together by referencing us, so in a small way we helped the rescue.
I would like to pass on my appreciation for the effort of your members to make the sea safer for us all.
Best regards,
