How do I write my Will?

There are many ways to write a legal Will, including:

  1. Online Will writing platform – Safewill
  2. Solicitor or Lawyer
  3. Public Trustee

For complex estates, our recommendation would be to engage a solicitor or lawyer to ensure your wishes are fulfilled.

What types of gifts can I leave?

Residual – this is a gift of the remainder of your estate, or a share of the residue, once other specific gifts and expenses have been taken care of you

Percentage – this is a gift of a specific percentage of your estate, allowing your gift to maximise as your estate matures

Estate – this is a gift of an exact amount from your estate

Assets – this is a gift of an item/s you own – property, cars, shares, jewellery and other valuables

Do I need to tell Marine Rescue NSW if I have included a gift in my Will?
