Marine Rescue NSW crews resume multi-agency search for missing man near Eden
Volunteers from Marine Rescue Eden and Merimbula have resumed a search for a missing man around Lennards Island on the NSW Far South Coast.
Marine Rescue NSW Inspector Glenn Sullivan said volunteer crews have been deployed on XRAY 30 and Merimbula 31.
“XRAY 30 is back on water after assisting Marine Area Command with a search late yesterday afternoon.
“A volunteer crew from Marine Rescue Merimbula has also been tasked to assist with the search today.
“Both Marine Rescue NSW vessels commenced today’s search at 9am.
“We are searching waters off Lennards Island as designated by Marine Area Command.
“MB 31 and XRAY 30 are currently conducting a parallel line search.
“Conditions are favourable in the area,” Inspector Sullivan said.
