Marine Rescue NSW crew continue search for missing rock fisherman on NSW Far South Coast

Volunteers from Marine Rescue Eden resumed the multi-agency search for a missing rock fisherman near Boyd’s Tower, south of Eden.

Marine Rescue NSW Inspector Glenn Sullivan said volunteers were back on the water at 8am this morning, Saturday 8 March.

“After searching for more than one hour last night, our volunteers continued the search on board XRAY 30.

“They have been searching a prescribed area between Mowarry Point and Lennards Island, under the direction of NSW Police Marine Area Command.

“Conditions were challenging, with large swells.

“The Marine Rescue Eden crew were stood down by Marine Area Command shortly after 2pm today.

“Volunteers from Marine Rescue Eden will continue the search tomorrow, Sunday 9 March,” Inspector Sullivan said.
