The Honourable Robert McClelland AO
The Honourable Robert McClelland AO is an Australian judge and former politician who has served on the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia since 2015 and is a former member of the Australian Labor Party.
Robert is currently the Deputy Chief Justice of the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia and is the Chair of the Family Law Council
He was admitted to the Supreme Court of NSW in 1982 and has practiced as both a solicitor and barrister, and was a partner in a legal firm for eight years.
In 1996, Robert was elected as the Member for Barton, and held this position until his retirement from politics in 2013. During his political career, he held numerous Ministerial appointments and was the Commonwealth Attorney-General for five years from 2007-2011. He was responsible for implementing recommendations of the Victorian Bushfire Royal Commission, including the implementation of a National Emergency Warning System.
Robert also served on a number of parliamentary committees and was Deputy Chair for Legal and Constitutional Affairs, Republic Referendum and Treaties. In his final year, he was Chair of the Law Enforcement joint statutory committee.
In 2022, Robert was appointed Officer of the Order of Australia in the 2022 Queen’s Birthday Honours for “distinguished service to the people and Parliament of Australia, to the law, social justice and law reform”.

Nola Watson, Regular Director
Nola is President of the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Chair of Australian Business Lawyers & Advisers. She is a Director of Business NSW and also serves as Vice Chair of the global World Chambers Federation.
She was previously a Director of the IAG and NRMA Superannuation Board. She was also a Director of Australian Services Roundtable and State Records Authority of NSW, as well as being a member of the Advisory Committee to the ABC’s Australia Network across Asia Pacific and the NSW Premier’s Crime Prevention Council.
For 15 years, she held executive leadership roles in Australia’s largest general insurance company, Insurance Australia Group (IAG), with group wide responsibility for risk and governance across Australia, New Zealand and Asia. Before working in financial services, Nola held senior executive service positions within Commonwealth and NSW governments, including NSW Police.
Nola is a former Telstra Australian Businesswoman of the Year and was awarded a Commonwealth of Australia Centenary Medal “for services to Australian society in business leadership”.
