Community Memorial Service
Marine Rescue Ballina, with the support of Ballina RSL, will host a Community Memorial Service to recognise the sacrifice, commitment and service of the unit’s volunteers and local first responders following the tragic events of 4 May.
The memorial will provide an opportunity for the Ballina community to come together, reflect, support one another and continue the healing process after an incident that profoundly affected volunteers, families, emergency services personnel and the wider community.
The memorial will be held at the RSL Memorial Park on Sunday 5 July, commencing at 11am.Â
Members of the community are encouraged to attend the public Memorial Service to come together and support one another.
A ticket or registration is not required to attend, and the event will be live streamed on this webpage.

- Refresh the page
- Check your internet connection — try going to another website to confirm you’re online.
- Try a different browser — Chrome or Safari are usually reliable.
- Switch from Wi-Fi to mobile data (or vice versa) — if you’re on a phone or tablet, this can help if your Wi-Fi is congested or unstable.
- Restart your modem/router — turn it off, wait 30 seconds, turn it back on. This can resolve many connection issues.
- Close other tabs or apps using video/audio — streaming services or video calls running in the background can slow things down.
- Try a different device — if possible, switch between phone, tablet, or computer.
- Check for any live updates about the service on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/MarineRescue/
