Wet and windy weather in many regions along the coastline kept boaters on shore over the weekend. Our volunteers were still on duty, rescuing 20 people in trouble on the water and keeping watch over more than 1,000 boaters who Logged On when they ventured out.
Our hardy men and women also were on the water, taking part in various training activities to ensure they remain rescue-ready for the boating season, no matter the conditions.
Remember to always check the weather before leaving and keep up-to-date with conditions throughout your voyage.
You can get a weather report from Marine Rescue NSW radio bases by calling on VHF Channel 16.
