  • Houseboat refloated

A HOUSEBOAT which sank in the Richmond River near the Ballina trawler harbour on Monday night has been refloated and towed away for repairs after a dramatic salvage operation.

A crew from the Ballina Slipway and volunteers from Marine Rescue Ballina were involved in the salvage yesterday afternoon.

With an incoming tide, the hole in the houseboat was repaired by divers.
